Product questions, answered by people who bought it.
Mint Ask Buyers adds questions and answers to your product pages. When a shopper asks something, you can answer, and buyers who said yes to helping get the question by email and answer from their own experience with a single-use link.
Q&A that respects your buyers' inboxes
From the question on the product page to the answer from someone who owns it.
Add the Questions & answers block to your product template with one click. Published questions and answers are rendered in your theme with its fonts, and shoppers ask their own in a short form.
Buyers opt in on their Thank you or Order status page, or from a link in your order emails. Each yes is proven with their own order and recorded with its time and source. Nobody else is ever emailed, and nobody gets more than 3 question emails a week.
Each question email carries a single-use link that expires. No login: the buyer reads the question on your store and answers. Their answer shows with their first name and last initial (or “A buyer”) and a “Bought this” label.
New questions and answers can wait for your review. A filter holds anything with offensive words, links, email addresses or phone numbers, and you can add your own words. Automatic publishing for clean content is optional.
Answer any question from the app; your answer appears straight away with a Store label. Shoppers who left their email get one email when their question is answered, then their address is deleted.
Buyer emails are encrypted and deleted the moment someone opts out. No IP addresses are stored. Every email to a buyer or shopper has a one-click stop link, and privacy requests from Shopify are handled automatically.
Set it up in a few minutes
No theme code is changed.
One click from the app opens the theme editor with the Questions & answers block ready to place on your product page.
Add the opt-in block to your Thank you and Order status pages. Buyers who say yes join your list of helpers.
A new question goes to a few buyers of that product. You review their answers (or publish clean ones automatically).

Questions merchants ask
Who gets the question emails?
Only buyers who said yes on their own order and bought that product, between the number of days after their order you choose (for example 7 to 365 days). A few of them per question (you choose how many), never the same question twice, never the person who asked, and at most 3 question emails a week each (2 by default). Every email has a one-click stop link.
How does a buyer say yes?
Add the Ask Buyers opt-in block to your Thank you and Order status pages in the checkout editor (these pages support app blocks on the Basic plan and higher). The buyer presses “Yes, I can help”, which opens a page on your store where they confirm. You can also paste a link into your order notification emails. In every case the app checks the order number and its confirmation code before recording the yes.
Can I still answer questions myself?
Always, on every plan. Your answers are published right away and labelled as the store. On the Free plan you answer every question; on Pro, buyers can answer too.
How do you keep out spam and offensive content?
Shoppers' questions go through a hidden bot trap, rate limits and a filter for offensive words, links, contact details, shouting and repeated text. Anything flagged waits for your review. You decide whether clean questions and answers are published automatically (Pro) or all wait for you.
Do you add structured data for search engines?
No. Google's guidelines don't allow Q&A page markup on product pages that have several questions, so we don't add any, and we don't promise any change in search. The questions and answers are part of your product page's HTML like the rest of its content.
What do you store?
For buyers who said yes: their email address from that order (encrypted), the name they chose to show, when and where they said yes, and which products they bought. For shoppers who ask: the question, an optional first name and, if they want a notice, their email until the first answer is published. Details are on our privacy page.
